On Friday afternoon and this morning, school was closed because the water pump was broken.

Yesterday, George went hunting. He shot one goose.

Susan went camping with Elaisa and her dad. Susan's dad, Alec, was para-skiing.

Brian went hunting. He shot three ptarmigan.

Cathy, George and Annie went to church on Saturday.

Toma played baseball this weekend.

Gary played in a floor hockey tournament on Saturday. He was the goalie.

Epifi went camping.

Today, it is sunny.

Today is Marcusie's birthday. Happy birthday to Marcusie! He is 11 years old.

Yesterday, Gary, Epifi, Brian, Marcusie and Susan played baseball. They played with Jaco, Sean, Allan, Allison, and Pasha. They played beside Jaco's house.

Cathy played baseball at the playground.

Annie rode on Jeannie's Honda with Kayula and Sarah.

Yesterday, our class played floor hockey against Marie-Carmen's class. Our class won. The score was 6-5. Marcusie scored the overtime goal. George was the goalie.

Today is windy, cloudy, and snowy.

On Friday, Steven was sick. John taught our class.

Yesterday, Epifi played baseball. Also, Susan played. Also, Pasha, Allan, Chris, Sam, Sam, Felix, Allison, Jaco, Sean, and Larry.

Cathy went skidooing yesterday across the river. Also, Marcusie went skidooing. He also went across the river.

Gary and Toma also played baseball.

Today is George's dad's birthday! His name is Samanie. Happy birthday, Samanie!

Cathy, Susan, Anthony, Epifi, Gary, Brian, Allan, Jaco, Sam K. and Pasha Haukai all played baseball yesterday beside Jaco's house.

There will be a garage sale tonight in the gym.

Marcusie played baseball on the CO-OP side.

The bus is not running this morning.

Yesterday, it was very windy.

This morning, all the students are in class.

Yesterday, Toma went skating at the arena.

Brian played baseball beside Jaco's house. Epifi also played.

George went hunting. He shot one ptarmigan.

Susan played volleyball in the school gym last evening.

Cathy stayed at home. Annie stayed at home.

Six students from our school returned from Tundra Trot in George River. They were: Mark, Tommy, Samwillie, Malaiya, Susie, and Minnie.

It was cold and snowy this weekend. On Sunday, there was a blizzard.

Cathy went to church. There was a dance.

Susan and Epifi visited Lucassie Grey. They played hide and go seek.

Today, it is snowing.

Yesterday, Marcusie went hunting and he shot three ptarmigans. He went with his dad.

George came back from camping yesterday. He went camping with his dad and Qalingo Airo, a friend of his dad. George's dad shot one ptarmigan.

Cathy and Becky went to the community hall. They played badminton.

Steven went to Montreal last week. He was gone for three days. While he was gone, John was the teacher.

Epifi drew a large picture of a seal hunt.

Epifi went camping this weekend. He stayed in Joseph's cabin. Joseph is his uncle. Epifi went fishing and caught one fish.

Marcusie also went camping. He shot one ptarmigan and caught nine fish. Marcusie owns a .22 rifle.

Yesterday, Gary went to the community hall to eat dinner. Cathy and Marcusie also went to the dinner. The dinner was to celebrate Mother's Day, and the Pee-Wee's first place hockey win, and the Junior's first place hockey win, and the Women's Bantam's bronze medal, and first place in para-skiing (Minnie Annahatak).

Macaroni, pizza, hotdogs and Inuit food were enjoyed.

Cathy and Annie did nothing.

Marcusie played baseball.

Susan went camping. She caught two fish. She went camping with her dad and her brother. Cathy did not go.

Today, the students thought of words that were about "Camping". Then, we used the words to make a Wordle poster. Here it is:

May 5

Marcusie, Susan and Brian returned from the hockey tournament in Wakeham Bay.

Susan's team never lost any games. Their team got a shut-out in their last game, the gold medal game. The score was 10-0. It was against George River.

Marcussie's team also never lost. They had one tie, with George River. Marcusie scored three goals.

Susan, Marcusie and Brian got medals.

Many students from the school went to the airport to greet the hockey players when they arrived.

Last night, George and Gary played hockey in the playground.

Marcusie rode his bike.

Epifi surfed the internet.

Cathy and Annie and Peggy visited their friend, Kayula. They played jacks, skip-bo, hopscotch, and close.

Susan visited Allison.

May 4

There is an artist visiting the school. His name is Mario Berube. He is showing all the students how to paint a mural. The mural will be put on the school wall when it is finished.

This morning, Annie and Cathy painted rabbits on the mural. Annie's rabbit is blue and Cathy's rabbit is pink.

The Pee-Wee's played hockey this weekend. The girls' team and the boys' team from Kangirsuk both won first place. They never lost any games.

They will be returning to Kangirsuk this afternoon at 4:00.

George went camping over-night on Thursday. George saw a small black bear. George caught one fish. Aloupa Taqulik shot a ptarmigan.

On Sunday, Gary, Toma and George played hockey at the playground on the Northern side. Tommy-Mark, Mark, and Tommy Kudluk also played.

Epifi and Sean were playing on top of the containers.

Cathy, Annie and Peggy played Skip-bo and Close at Kayula's Place.

Some of the secondary students went upriver over-night today with Dave Turcotte, Dave Lane and Tommy Kudluk.

Today, some of the students are going to play hockey in Wakeham Bay. Marucusie, Susan, Brain will be going.

Marcusie, Susan and Brian practiced at the hockey.

Junior is the coach.

Annie and Cathy went to the community hall yesterday. They played home free.

They played bingo on the FM last night.

Jimmy Pootooge won 900$.

George went upriver with Dave and many of the elementary students yesterday. They will be coming back today.

Yesterday, there was a breakfast for all the students in the school. They had juice, oranges, apples, toast, grapes, carrots, pears, muffins, and donuts.

John, who is a teacher, took some pictures of the breakfast and put them on his website.

Today, some of the elementary students are going on an excursion upriver. George is going.

Yesterday, after school, Susan practiced ice-hockey. Marcusie, Brian and Gary played floor hockey in the gym with Dave.

Cathy and Annie went to the community hall after school with Peggy. They played Home Free. It is a game like Hide-and-Seek.

Today the students played with a website that lets them make funny faces with their pictures. It is called Photoface.

Yesterday, George was riding his bicycle.

Susan had a hockey practice at the arena.

Cathy, George and Annie went to the community hall. George played floor hockey. Annie and Cathy played catch.

Gary went to the arena to watch the practice.

Toma was making a tunnel in the snow.

Marcusie stayed home because he was sick.

This afternoon, we learned how to measure the perimeter of rectangles.

This weekend, George played baseball on Saturday and Sunday behind Martha's house on the CO-OP side. William, Marcusie, George, Jessie, Toma, Jamie, and Christopher all played.

Today, Marcusie is sick, so he did not come to school.

On May 1, Susan, Gary E., Allan, Marcusie, George, Gary K., Bobby Jr., Felix, Bobby Nassak, and Matthew will be going to Wakum Bay to play in a hockey tournament. Everybody will be coming back on May 5.

Cathy and Toma are going to go upriver on Thursday.

George might go camping or he might go play hockey.

Gary practiced hockey on Saturday.

Epife played outside with Sean K.

Susan played outside in the playground with Cathy.

Yesterday, Stephen let some of the students play floor hockey in the gym for the last period. The other students had a treasure hunt. They followed picture clues hidden in the school.

This morning, Stephen brought some fruit for the class. We had oranges, apples, watermelon and grapes.

Marcusie, Gary, Brian, George and Susan practiced hockey at the arena after school. They also played a game. Gary is the goalie. Jr. Simiunie is the coach.

Marcusie will go hunting and fishing this weekend with his family.

Brian will go upriver with his dad this weekend. They are going to shoot ptarmigan.

Many people played bingo last night. The numbers were called on the FM. Sarah Nassak won $1000. Congratulations, Sarah!

The community plays bingo every Thursday. Bingo cards can be purchased at the FM for $5 each.

We played bingo in the classroom. Cathy, Brian and Toma won granola bars.

After lunch, we watched animal videos. We watched a funny bird that could talk.

We played hangman. The winning team was Cathy, Epifi and George.

This morning, the students wrote sentences describing a winter picture.

They had Culture class this morning.

The boys are making starfish.

The girls are making mittens. Annie is making an amautik.

This afternoon, we added some places to our map of Kangirsuk.

Annie, the student counselor, spoke to the students about good behaviour.

We played hangman. It was a very close game that went into overtime.

We played Jeopardy. The questions were all about animals. The teams were: Cathy, George and Susan versus Annie, Epifi, and Marcusie. It was a tie. Annie and Cathy played Rock, Paper, Scissors, and Annie's team won.

Today is the first day back from spring break. The students are happy to be back in school. Some students are sad to be back in school.

Many of the students went camping during the holidays.

Annie went upriver and she went down-river. Annie caught one fish.

Marcussie went down-river. Marcussie went to Wakum Bay for bible study.

Brian went on the other side of the river, beside Aupaluk. Brian shot one ptarmigan.

Gary and Epifi stayed in Kangirsuk.

We played Wheel of Fortune. Annie and Marcussie won the first game and Cathy won the second game.

Steven brought his camera to the class and let the students take pictures. We will publish some pictures later.
